My 4-month-old usually screams when I put anything on her head, but she didn't even seem to notice these. The knotted bow sits flat instead of digging in, and after a full day there were no red marks behind her ears.
The nylon on these is so stretchy that they actually fit my toddler's head without leaving a red dent, which was my main worry. The knot stays put through naps and stroller rides, and the ribbed texture looks a little dressier than plain bows.
