My toddler drags this thing everywhere and it's held up through countless washes without losing that soft feel. The friendly face on the front is what sold her instantly, she won't nap without it now.

The fabric is ridiculously soft, way softer than the crib blankets we had before. My daughter rubs the little face against her cheek while falling asleep, and it's held up fine through three washes already.
